[THE CONTEXT]

Lil Nas X was already set to headline the Worlds 2022 Finals Opening Ceremony. For a game with a global player base, the show also needed an artist with genuine relevance across Asian pop audiences.

[THE STRATEGIC CHOICE]

FIT BEFORE
FAME.

The fit needed to create value in both directions. Riot gained an artist with authentic relevance for Asian players. Jackson entered a major Western esports moment through an original League of Legends music property, rather than a conventional endorsement.

[ATTRIBUTABLE CONTRIBUTION]

Eric's contribution sat inside a larger team. The role is stated precisely so the work can be understood without inflating ownership.

[PUBLICLY OBSERVABLE OUTCOME]

Jackson recorded FIRE TO THE FUSE, the official Empyrean music theme released by League of Legends with 88rising, then performed the track at the Worlds 2022 Finals Opening Ceremony in San Francisco. The partnership travelled across recorded music, a cinematic and a live global event.
